DISCOVER COLOMBIA

Colombia is a diverse and captivating country with so much to offer beyond our wedding. Whether you're interested in exploring lush jungles, vibrant cities, or relaxing beaches, there's something here for everyone. As we are conscious that many of you will be travelling after the wedding, we've partnered with a reputable travel agency CHECK NEW PLACES that can provide you with great deals on additional adventures during your stay in the country, with selected itenaries and packages, details of which you will find in the Your Trip tab. Additionally, the sections below provide selected recommendations for each of the main locations you may want to consider visiting.
Basic recommendations for Colombia:
Inner City Transport:
Avoid using taxis on the street in big cities; it's best to opt for Uber. Please download the app before traveling. Most of the Uber cars in Colombia are quite old, and the doors of the cars are quite sensitive, so please do not close the doors too strongly :) Drivers will get upset.
Connectivity:
Another great travel hack is to get yourself an e-SIM card for your phone. It costs between 8 and 12 dollars for a month, and you'll have internet from the first day you travel. We recommend providers such as Claro and Movistar.
Inter-City Transport:
If you're considering traveling between cities like Bogotá and Medellín, we highly recommend taking planes instead of buses or renting cars. Distances and traffic in Colombia can be substantial, and traveling by car is not as safe and could take much longer.
Food
When indulging in street food, ensure the place maintains high hygiene standards to avoid getting sick. It's common for some street food vendors not to be as meticulous about cleanliness.
Nightlife
Whilst Medellin offers phenomenal night life options, please do remain vigilant, especially if consuming alcohol, as cases of drink spiking have occurred in the past.
